Geoffrey Hughes Export was established by the late Geoff Hughes in 1972 in Sydney, Australia as an exporter of a wide range of supermarket products to the South Pacific region.

We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Grove International Pty Ltd, and were previously owned by Woolworths and the Lion Nathan group.

Geoffrey Hughes Export is Australia’s premier foodstuff export sales and marketing organisation for the South Pacific region, exporting full and consolidated containers of food products including fresh and frozen meat and poultry, bulk commodities such as rice, flour and sugar, as well as a complete range of grocery items (FMCG).  Our in house shipping, logistics and documentation departments manage all shipping, consolidation and export documentation on behalf of our suppliers and customers.

More than a dozen of our Sales & Account Managers travel regularly to each of our export markets on sales and marketing visits, presenting marketing ideas and promotions developed in conjunction with our suppliers.

We provide medium term open account terms to our customers of up to 90 days after arrival of vessel, and we make payments directly to our suppliers in a timely manner.
